Privacy Policy
Protecting your data matters to us. wos-wiki.de is deliberately data-minimal: apart from consent-based, anonymized audience measurement (Google Analytics) we use no advertising or tracking services. Below we explain how personal data is processed when you visit this website. The legally binding version is the German one.
Controller
Responsible for data processing on this website: Andreas Rothermund Internetdienstleistungen Pappelweg 15, 28790 Schwanewede, Germany E-mail: info@rothermund.net
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on servers in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen). When you access the pages, the server automatically processes information your browser transmits (server log files): IP address, date and time of access, page/file requested, amount of data transferred, referrer URL and browser/operating-system details.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log files serve solely technical provision and security and are not merged with other data. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the hosting provider.
Cookies and consent
This website uses cookies or comparable technologies for audience measurement (Google Analytics) solely on the basis of your consent. They are disabled by default (Google Consent Mode v2 = “denied”). Only when you click “Accept” in the cookie banner are analytics cookies set and analytics data collected. If you click “Decline”, everything stays disabled. Technically necessary local storage (see below) is independent of this. You can change your choice at any time by deleting your browser cookies.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
For anonymized audience measurement we use Google Analytics 4, embedded via Google Tag Manager (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google Analytics processes, among other things, a shortened IP address, device and browser data and your usage behavior in order to evaluate the use of the website statistically. Processing takes place solely with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR); without consent no analytics data is collected (Google Consent Mode). Data may also be transferred to Google servers in the USA, based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting your browser cookies.
Local storage
Some tools on this site – in particular the Bear Trap planner – store your input (e.g. selected heroes) solely locally in your browser (local storage). This data does not leave your device, is not transmitted to us or third parties and serves only the usability of the tool (technically necessary). You can delete it at any time via your browser settings.
Fonts
The fonts used are served locally from our server. No connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts) is established when the page loads, and no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
External links
Our pages contain links to external websites (e.g. the game's official gift-code portal). When you click such links you reach pages for whose data processing the respective provider is responsible. We have no influence over the setting of cookies or the processing of data by these third parties.
Contacting us
If you contact us by e-mail, we process the data you provide (e-mail address, content of the message) to handle your request on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. We do not share this data without your consent.
Your rights
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
Updates and changes
This privacy policy applies from June 2026. We will adapt it as soon as the data processing changes – for example if advertising is introduced. In that case we will, where required, obtain your consent in advance.
