The Bear Trap is an alliance event where you rally the bear together. The more total damage your alliance deals within the time window, the better the rewards. This guide shows the best formation and how to maximize your contribution.
What is the Bear Trap?
In the Bear Trap your alliance attacks the bear over several waves within a fixed time window. Total damage is what counts – rewards (hero shards, resources, pet items) are handed out by damage rank. Efficiency beats raw troop count.
The best troop formation
Against the bear, marksman damage is king. A marksman-heavy line-up massively outperforms a balanced army.
- Troop ratio: heavily marksman-weighted (e.g. ~1/1/8 Infantry/Lancer/Marksman) – marksmen carry almost all the damage.
- A little infantry as a front line, a small lancer share – everything else marksmen.
- Troop TIER matters more than count: higher FC/T-level troops deal more than many weak ones.
Rally leader & heroes
The rally leader's expedition skill and troop buffs drive most of the damage. Joiners send their strongest marksman heroes.
- Pick a leader with a strong rally/expedition buff (evergreens like Jeronimo or Hector often stay top-meta here).
- Joiners: best hero trio focused on marksman damage and march buffs.
- Activate pets and chief gear/charms with damage bonuses before the event.
Common mistakes
- Balanced instead of marksman-heavy formation – throws away a lot of damage.
- Rallies not full: coordinate in the alliance so every rally is maxed.
- Sending weak troops just to fill march size.
